Statement of Faith and Purpose

Statement of Faith – We believe that the holy triune God has existed always and that He exists in three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe that He created and upholds everything in both the spiritual and the natural world, and that He created man as an eternal, free-will spirit-being capable of sensing and responding to both the spiritual world and the natural world.

We believe that God created man for His own pleasure and that the only thing that pleases Him is man’s free-will decision to seek and respond to Him with our entire body, soul, and spirit.

We believe that God, in His omniscience, which man cannot fathom, purposed before the foundations of the world to include an elect remnant of His created, free-will spirit-being, man, in an eternal blood covenant between Himself and the man, Jesus Christ, the Son of God incarnate, born of the seed of the Holy Spirit and the seed of the woman. We believe that this man, Jesus, who was God’s only begotten Son, was joined eternally and irrevocably to God’s created spirit-being, man, through that birth, and that He purposefully stripped Himself of His own divine power in order to fulfill the Law and the prophets as a man and an Israelite (the seed of Abraham) by and through His perfect compliance with the revealed will of God.

We believe that this man whom Paul identified as the “last Adam,” was thus qualified to be the sinless “Lamb of God,” who would be crucified for the sins of fallen mankind from Adam all the way through the millennium.

We believe that God the Father was satisfied with this sacrifice and that He resurrected the Son of God-Son of Man, Jesus Christ, to sit at His right hand as the mediator and High Priest of God’s covenant between God and man.

We believe that this blood covenant between God and the man, Jesus, the Christ, is the only redemptive covenant between God and mankind from Adam forward through eternity and that inclusion in this redemptive covenant has always been based on God’s reckoning as “righteous” those who have responded to the measure of faith He has demanded of them as well as those who are incapable of responding to Him.

We believe that the only way to lose this covenant status with God is to reject our faith in Jesus Christ and that the only way we can reject our faith in Jesus Christ is by developing a seared conscious whereby we no longer “hear” the voice of the Lord, who is our spiritual conscience, and no longer “see” the revelatory truth of God with the eyes of our hearts, so that we ultimately reject and deny our faith.

We believe that this falling away from the faith (apostasy) is not common but will become common in the end times because of persecution and demonic deception just as Paul has prophesied.

We believe that none of the gifts and empowerments of the Holy Spirit have ceased, but that they have ceased among certain groups and denominations of Christians because of unbelief and the dependency of relying on traditions devoid of faith.

We also believe that there are opportunities for Satan to introduce false signs and wonders among immature believers who overemphasize the gifts and empowerments of the Holy Spirit. Thus the gift of the discernment of spirits should be highly regarded and sought after in the body of Christ today.

We believe that the Bible, as we know it today, both the old and new testament, were given to man as a perfectly uniform whole through various earthly authors over thousands of years exactly as God ordained, though translations of the original text may contain errors. We believe, according to the Lord’s own words in Matthew 23:8 that there is only one teacher of true doctrine, and that teacher is the Lord operating through the Spirit of truth. Therefore, the written word must be examined in the revelatory light of the Spirit of truth in order to be rightly divided.

Thus all attempts to apply intellectual formulas of interpretation to the text will fall short of the fullness of God’s immutable truth, His promises, and His commands, and it is this arrogance of human intellect and religious traditions devoid of revelation, aided in many cases by demonic inspiration, that caused the intellectual giants of Israel, the Pharisees, to reject Christ in their day and continues to divide and corrupt the body of Christ in our own day.

We believe that biblical prophecy, authored by an omniscient God who sees the end from the beginning, though He is not the cause of events contrary to His will, serves two primary purposes. First, prophecy fulfilled confirms the source and dependability of biblical prophecy, and, by comparison,  all non-God inspired prophecy falls far short of this record.

Second, biblical prophecy, deliberately “sealed” by the Spirit of truth until the appropriate time, has been given to us by God to warn and prepare those for whom it is intended concerning things to come in our own time.

We believe classic, historic pre-millennialism, which was believed and taught by all the church fathers from John’s own disciples until the eighteenth century without exception, is the correct, Spirit-inspired interpretation of the framework of biblical prophecy, though certain details of biblical prophecy are revealed only when the Holy Spirit chooses to reveal them.

We also believe that the Holy Spirit is unsealing end times prophecy at this present time just as Daniel prophesied.

And those who are wise shall shine like the brightness of the sky above, and those who turn many to righteousness, like the stars forever and ever. But you, Daniel, shut up the book and seal the words until the time of the end. (Then, at that time)…Many shall run to and fro, and knowledge …(of God’s purposes as revealed in scriptural prophecy)…shall increase. Daniel 12:3,4 ESV (inserts and emphasis are the author’s)
